As a food reviewer, I am captivated by the diverse menu offerings that cater to every palate. Starting my day with a Cappuccino (only £3.80) is a must, as it seamlessly pairs with the vibrant, relaxing atmosphere. But if you're in the mood for something invigorating, the Double Espresso (£3.50) or a creamy Flat White (£3.60) will awaken your senses. The selection doesn’t stop at coffee; indulge in mouthwatering mocktails like the refreshing Pentire Margarita or the sweet Strawberry Nojito, each priced at £10.00, perfect for a leisurely afternoon sipping by the water.
The food at The Upper Deck has garnered rave reviews for its rich flavors and presentation. As echoed in customer experiences, such as Kerry Breen’s delightful encounter with warm service and top-quality dishes, every meal feels special. I personally relished the Buttermilk Chicken Burger, piled high with crispy bacon, fresh salad, and a burst of flavor in every bite. The accompanying chips were a perfect side, crispy and golden. If you’re seeking something on the lighter side, the Goat’s Cheese Starter stands out, showcasing the fresh, local ingredients that Cornwall prides itself on.
Additionally, the wine list is meticulously curated for those looking to elevate their dining experience. With offerings like the rich Mendoza Malbec for just £5.20, or the exquisite Bordeaux Superieur priced at £37.00, there is something for every wine lover. Each sip pairs effortlessly with the flavors on your plate, enhancing the overall experience.
What truly sets The Upper Deck apart is its commitment to customer satisfaction. With patrons like Sharon Day speaking of its amazing food and friendly staff, it’s evident that the team is dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience. This sentiment is echoed by Caron Nicholls, who enjoyed a splendid time with her party of seven, emphasizing the warm and accommodating atmosphere.
Whether you are enjoying the stunning vistas across Padstow or savoring a meal crafted with care, The Upper Deck promises to create memorable moments. It is not just a restaurant; it represents the heart of Cornwall’s culinary scene, bottled up in one charming location. So, gather your friends and loved ones for a beautiful afternoon or evening of good food, great service, and spectacular views—because once you visit, you'll surely want to return.

Exceptional food, delicious flavours and excellent service from very caring and professional waitress/manager. Highly recommend this place and the staff.Very enjoyable afternoon spent with friends who had never been here before. We will be back soon!

We visited on 14/04/25. We were a party of seven with three dogs and we're well accommodated. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and we did not feel rushed. The food was excellent. Would definitely visit again.

Came here 4 years ago and fell in love with the place. Just been back and still fabulous! Amazing food, friendly helpful staff and STUNNING views. The best of Cornwall bottled up in one place.

Warm, friendly, accommodating. Everything you could ask for. Knowledgeable staff with a flair for customer service. A rare thing these days for sure! Quality of food and drinks was also top drawer. Very enjoyable alongside stunning estuary views. Would throughly recommend and will for sure be visiting again.

Amazing place to eat with spectacular views across to Padstow. Buttermilk chicken burger with bacon, salad, tomato and sauce was delicious and the chips were nice too! Upper Deck beef burger was great as was the goat’s cheese starter! Service was quick and great as the manager and the waitresses were friendly. However took a while to receive the bill.

We have been in today, party of 8. We booked and asked for a table in the corner As we have 4 dogs. We arrived early, absolutely no problem, delayed our food order so we could have a drink and chat, no problem. The food was excellent, the staff were all lovely, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. A lovely atmosphere, and well worth a visit. Great place, and nothing is too much trouble for them. Thankyou for a lovely chilled afternoon.

This is a lovely place to stop in Rock. The food is lovely, good drinks and the staff are wonderful. They’re dog and baby friendly. There was also a young couple with a 6 week old (ours was 7 months). They were struggling as you do eating and juggling baby which can be super difficult. The lovely manager offered to hold and comfort the their baby to allow them to eat. Anyone who’s had children and been through this know just how kind a gesture this is

Food and service amazing! The staff were so friendly and accommodating with our baby and the pram. One waitress went above and beyond feeding the baby for us whilst we ate! The food was gorgeous and the views across the estuary make a lovely backdrop. Highly recommend and will definitely return now we know about it!
